AFFORDING NEW MORNING SCHOOL
The mission of New Morning School is to provide an extraordinary education at a cost that most parents in the community can afford. Although our tuition levels are at the median level relative to other independent schools in the Association of Independent Michigan Schools, New Morning School provides a unique opportunity for parents to participate in our parent cooperative. Through co-op responsibilities, each parent crafts an individual tuition plan.
Each family presents a unique set of circumstances. The best way to calculate your family's tuition level is by meeting with our Admissions Coordinator, Joan Barrett. Please contact Joan at (734) 420-3331 or email her to find out more about what possibilities are available. It is our desire to do everything possible to make a New Morning School education available for any student who wishes to attend.
The cost of tuition covers 60-70% of the cost of educating each child. The remaining 30-40% is made up from our Annual Fund. Parents who participate as members of the cooperative must also participate in one or more fundraising activities.
While most parents opt to participate as members of the New Morning School cooperative, some prefer to pay full tuition instead of taking on co-op responsibilities. The 2007-2008 tuition level for a family who opts for full tuition (no co-op responsibility) is as follows:
