We look forward to seeing you there!
If you are unable to make the scheduled visitation times or the regular Thursday morning orientation sessions, please contact us at (734) 420-3331 or email us and we will try to work with your schedule. We are so proud of our school that we relish opportunities to share it!
Visit the School
New Family Orientation meetings take place at 9:15 a.m. every Thursday morning. Call (734) 420-3331 to register and find out more about New Morning School.
During your visit you will learn about the New Morning philosophy and curriculum, observe the classrooms, speak with the teacher(s), and will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss your child's needs. This meeting is for parents only.
Registration
To proceed further, a paid registration indicating your interest in the school will be accepted. This will be reviewed within thirty days. A student visit and a review of reports from previous schools are part of the process.
Schedule a Student Visit
Each prospective student is invited to spend a day at the school prior to enrollment. This provides an opportunity for New Morning staff to observe the child in our learning environment and make an informal assessment of his/her skill level. In addition, the student is able to experience the classroom.
Acceptance
Based on staff recommendation that this school would be a good placement , an acceptance letter will be sent. To secure the placement a one month's tuition fee must be received within 10 days.
Co - op Meeting
A co-op meeting will be arranged to help choose the level and type of involvement in the school. This will also determine the tuition fee. Co-op obligations include aiding or cleaning, helping with fundraisers, a summer repair job, general meetings and participation in our annual auction.
Forms
Prior to enrollment night, a packet of forms will be sent which includes emergency forms, health forms and driver authorization forms. The completed forms will be turned in on enrollment night.
Enrollment Night
This will be held on May 15, 2007, and is a potluck dinner for new and returning families. It begins with a new family orientation meeting with the executive director. A mentor will be assigned to new families. The mentors will be available to answer any questions and help in the sign-up process. Enrollment agreements will be signed indicating level of involvement (co-op), tuition payments and method of payment. Sign-ups for Fall Festival, summer repair job and auction jobs will also take place. The completed packet of forms will be turned in.
